His journey began in 2011 when he was selected first overall by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the CFL Draft, making history as the first player from St. Francis Xavier University to receive this honor. Muamba’s impact in the league was undeniable, earning accolades such as the Grey Cup Most Valuable Player and Grey Cup Most Valuable Canadian in 2022, with his current team The Toronto Argonauts, becoming the second player ever to achieve both distinctions.
